Carlos Guerrero grew up in Georgia and received his BFA from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC. In May of 2006, he received his MFA from the University of Nebraska—Lincoln. His work consists of mixed media drawings on paper that explore the ideas of personal and cultural isolation using memories colored by his imagination to examine our social conditioning. Creating emotionally charged scenarios that are both personally meaningful and culturally provocative -- Carlos explores issues of human fragility, cultural identity, the experience of suffering, the loss of innocence and how the walls we build and the walls we break down define our interactions with each other.

Andrew Hershey earned his MFA from the University at Buffalo, the State University of New York and a BFA from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He has exhibited his work nationally in group and solo shows, and his work is included in the permanent collections of organizations such as the Amity Art Foundation, the Southern Graphics Conference Collection and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Print Archives. The practice used to create Andrew's work reflects on a process of erasure and revelation. The absence/presence of the figures and the delicate nature of his prints, echo the fragile nature of life. The mundane activities represented in the images speak about the beauty of everyday life and the sense of history contained within a room.
